Casa de Eliza

Casa de Eliza

La Casa de Eliza is a locally owned hostel where you can find peace and relaxation after a day of exploring Quito’s local attractions. We can also help you discover the wonders outside of Quito, in our beautiful country of Ecuador.

La Casa is owned and operated by Maria Eliza Manteca Oñate, an Afro-Ecuadorian woman from the Imbabura province. Known for her tenacity and fighting spirit, Maria Eliza is an ecologist and proud founder of the Golondrinas Foundation, located in northwestern Ecuador. Since 1991, she has donated La Casa’s humble earnings to generate and maintain the Foundation’s projects such as Environmental Conservation, Recuperation of Eroded Soils and Cerro Golondrinas Environmental Education.

Our cozy four room hostel has 15 years experience serving guests from all over the world. They return to us time and again because they love our familiar atmosphere and they feel safe in our comfortable and tranquil home. After an adventure in the city or the forest, there is no better place to take rest than La Casa de Eliza.

La Casa de Eliza is located at Avenida Isabel la Católica N 24679 in modern Quito, new town, just 20 minutes from the airport, in a quiet, residential neighborhood. For only $5.00 USD plus tax a night per person, you can stay in a friendly environment with cooking and washing facilities as well as a place to store your luggage.
